Horses have been my passion since I was three years old. Before that, I wanted a baby elephant, but I became a bit more practical at the ripe old age of three.

For years I read everything I could about horses, dreamed about horses, drew horses, plotted about how to steal a horse and keep it in my bedroom, and even pretended I was a horse. Now that I live on 2 acres outside of Nelson, BC with my husband - I have finally been able to achieve my dream of having a horse (or three) of my own.

Once discovered that I could put horses on pots and combine my two passions - horses and pottery, I haven't looked back.

Bailey, a Quarter Horse filly, is my first horse. She was given to me by my sister when her dam was accidentally killed by another horse. She was five months old at the time. Jasper. Summer 2006 -- photo H.Farrell

Jasper, a miniature mare, was my second horse. Also given to me by my sister, she has been Bailey's constant companion since the death of her mother. Yes, they are quite pair bonded!

Maya came into my life in the summer of 2006. The first horse I ever bought, she is smallish 8 year old Quarter Horse mare and together we are studying Parelli natural horsemanship.

Why www.epona.com? Epona is the celtic goddess of horses - and this has been Heather's domain and nickname online since 1992 or so. For more info on the goddess Epona: epona.net.
