
Heather began her fascination with clay in 1995 when she attended a community course in North Vancouver. The meditative process of throwing is what initailly drew Heather into working with clay. Now, after three years of study at the Kootenay School of the Arts in Nelson, BC, Heather has found that she becomes immersed in every aspect of the work from throwing and trimming to decorating, glazing and firing.
A driving passion for horses ispires her decoration which is also informed by ancient chinese blue and white ware and japanese brushwork.
Heather lives with her husband Matthew and baby daughter Murrin, three horses, three cats, two dogs and eight chickens on two acres in Blewett, BC.
